Rating: Poison of choice x 3
One Line Synopsis: Bros over Hoes
Brief Writeup: Seth Rogen and James Franco play two pot heads that deliver non-stop funny dialog that real people would imaginably say (my friend Ron talks like that all day, and he isn't even high). Unlike the humor of Will Ferrell which premise you are hit over the head with long after it's funny (okay, I get it, he's an imbecile and an elf to boot), this stuff just flows.
Seth is Dale Denton, a process server by day and pot head by day as well. He ends up on the lamb with his weed dealer Saul (played by James Franco) after witnessing a murder. In actuality, Dale really plays the straight man to Saul's drifting mind and the two just have explosive chemistry. A hidden gem is the performance of Danny McBride who plays a drug dealer looking out for numero uno.
The plot is nothing special but it almost doesn't matter what the situation is cause it reminds you of the effortless fun that you have with your real friends when you are all in the element (hint: they're not the ones whose jokes you laugh at because that's the polite thing to do *HA HA*).
