Car Down!!

Sunday night the cold was down to minus fifteen Celsius out there. We didn’t know what had driven us, but we decided to go out for dinner which we haven’t been doing much since we moved to Vermont. Without looking up for the address, we were able to reach the Japanese restaurant we had in mind with no problem; this is a nice thing about living in a small town.

Finishing dinner, we walked back to our car under this unbearable severe coldness, in less than three minutes, we got into our car, and started the engine.

Nothing happened.

I thought: did the car engine just get stolen? Ian always said there is no way anyone would be interested in stealing parts from this cars cause the car was quite beat up. Ian tried switching the light on in the car and it did work, so he tried the ignition a couple more times. Even though we doubted that the problem had to do with the battery, we asked for help and a Good Samaritan gave our car a boost.

Still Nothing.

We gave up and called a cab instead. So I got to enjoy my first cab ride experience in Vermont.

Ian called the tow truck yesterday morning; I hope the car can get through this time as it was diagnosed with old age and probably would not last long.

To Mark: well, since you two live together, I guess you know better than I did. btw, "the bird" is not here yet, had he left the house yet? you might want to double check, maybe it was an excuse to come to visit us.
